The Ba-Pu-Ba Challenge (2018)

2018 was a year that tested not just my endurance as a rider, but my spirit as a woman on a mission. The Ba-Pu-Ba Challenge, an acronym for Bangalore–Pune–Bangalore, was no ordinary ride. It was a 1,600+ km endurance loop, completed within a strict time window, demanding sharp navigation, unwavering focus, and unflinching mental stamina.
I took up this challenge not for records or applause, but to prove a point: that age, gender, or background need not limit one’s passion or capability. The ride pushed me across scorching highways, relentless traffic, and long lonely stretches. But with each kilometer, I grew more certain of my resolve.
What made this ride unforgettable wasn’t just the completion of the loop, it was the sense of unity of fellow riders, the encouraging messages pouring in from across the country, and that quiet moment at the finish line when I knew I had crossed a personal threshold.
The Ba-Pu-Ba Challenge will always remain one of those milestones that whispered to me, “You are dauntless. Keep going.”
